The range of wines from the Quinta Das Mais is astounding. They are setting the wine world on fire with their range of ageworthy, unique, complex, indigenous varieties. The wines are since 2012 certified 100% organic and vegan friendly.

They are based at 600mtrs above sealevel on a pleateau in the Dao region in Northern Portugal. The estate was originally planted to vines in the late 19th century, and since changes in law which allow producers more freedom to bottle their own wines, quality has improved drastically, and forward thinking producers like Luis have come to realise the potential of the fantastic granitic terroir and the delicious local grapes varieties, Jaen, Encruzado and Malvasia Fina.

The Mais Branco is a tasty blend of Malavasia and Encruzado. Malvasia Fina is one of the most important white grape in the Dao and probably its most flavourful. Very delicate and floral it usually presents an astonishing minerality. Frequently paired with Encruzado it produces wonderfully balanced wines.

Crisp, with soft, stone fruits, white peach with a zesty finish. Very drinkable and approachable white wine for all occasions.
