Silver Medal - Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards

A vibrant, juicy Pinot Noir that leaps from the glass with lifted cherry and dark plum aromas. On the palate, it’s beautifully smooth and fleshy, grounded by a subtle warmth of spicy oak.

Born on an alluvial boulder ridge in Northern Wairarapa, this wine is a true product of its environment. The combination of warm, free-draining soils and a cool, dry microclimate creates the ultimate sanctuary for Pinot Noir. Planted with eight different clones that naturally yield small, concentrated crops, this bottle offers a masterclass in varietal complexity.

Each clone was harvested separately and fermented in small, open-top fermenters. Through thoughtful stem inclusion and gentle cap management, the winemakers coaxed out soft tannins and bright fruit flavors. The young wine completed malolactic fermentation and was aged in a combination of oak barrels and tanks to achieve the perfect structural balance.

An incredibly versatile food wine. Enjoy it alongside smoked salmon, seared lamb chops, or a hearty venison casserole.
