93 Points - Cameron Douglas
"Taut, textured, youthful and still tasting young with plenty of development time ahead - in your cellar. A wine of power and plenty of texture cushioned by the focus and concentration of red berry fruits. Blackberry and dark skinned plums sit mid palate framed by wood and fruit tannins, flavours of earth stone and tobacco accentuated by acidity and raw youthful power. Decant for service or serve from 2028 through 2035+." Cameron Douglas

Boy this is a winner. If you love a good ol Bordeaux style blend this will surely please. Its got guts and finesse!

Using classic Bordeaux varieties Cabernet, Merlot and a splash of Cabernet Franc from their prized Gimblett Gravels vineyards and aged in high quality oak for 15 months before release. This is a rich, darkly fruited Hawke’s Bay red (think plums, blackcurrant and cassis!) with a touch of spice and a silky smooth texture.

If you’re a lover of the “Bordeaux” style red this is an absolute must try and with good cellaring potential there’s plenty of reason to grab a case and drink ’em over the next 5-6 years.
