Best Producer - South Africa Wine Awards London 2022

4 Stars & 85 points - Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews

"Deep ruby-red with a purple core, even colour throughout. The nose is bright with sweet fruit aromas of plum, dark cherry, a hint of herb and spice. Medium-bodied, plum and dark cherry aromas entwined with rich herbs and subtle black pepper. Smooth tannins contribute texture and body, along with lively acidity driving a moderate-length finish. Match with barbeque meat or lamb burger over the next 3 years. 14% alc. Apr 2023 RRP $15.99"

Mount Rozier homestead in Stellenbosch is named after Annie Rozier, a famous local flower merchant from the 19th Century. 100% Shiraz Produced by the Mount Rozier Estate. Western Cape, South Africa.

Fruit from mature bush vines was hand harvested. Fermented for 13 days in tanks before being lightly pressed and pumped over. The wine then racked into older barrels for malolactic ferment and 6mnth maturation.

This delightful Shiraz shows Intense ruby-purple colour. Layers of red and black fruit with black pepper, herbs and violet notes. Medium well-rounded bodied wine with an intense fruity palate and a medium long finish with lush velvety ripe tannins.

Pair with 5 spice slow roasted pork.
