5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit,
"Beautifully styled and immediately appealing on the nose with sweet cherry, mushroom, toasted nut and rich floral aromas. The palate delivers excellent weight and silky flow, splendidly supported by finely integrated tannins. Soothing and comforting. At its best: now to 2028."

Mysterious Diggings Pinot Noir comes from Terra Sancta's Vineyard on the Cairnmuir side of Bannockburn. Made in an earlier drinking style, it is approachable yet sophisticated and downright delicious. A satisfyingly full flavoured Pinot Noir; good balance with structure depth and integrated black fruit.

Winery note
"Delivering outstanding value, this is a single vineyard Pinot Noir from Terra Sancta's high altitude Mysterious Diggings vineyard located in the premium Central Otago subregion of Bannockburn. Vines grown at 300 meters above sea level in sandy soils produce flavourful, pristine Pinot Noir. Hand-picked and treated gently in the winery, our goal is to preserve the beauty of the fruit to create this delicious, vibrant Pinot Noir. With purity of colour, the Mysterious Diggings Pinot Noir 2021 has aromas of violets, fresh thyme, and red berries. With gracious, silky tannin and a lovely line of acidity, the wine has great energy and freshness, with flavours of blackberry, red cherry, licorice root and a touch of exotic spice. A wine of great purity, the hallmark Bannockburn finish of balanced acidity and a touch of fruit sweetness is both delicious and memorable."
