"Bright, pale yellow, slightly lighter edged. The nose is soft and elegantly presented, nuances of Poire Williams, green melon melded with white floral, ginger and a hint of stony mineral. Medium-full bodied, off-dry to taste, pear and apple aromas entwined with ginger and white spice, along with a touch of honey and floral. Stony mineral provides a chalky mouthfeel; spices linger with a bright acid line and balanced sweetness to a lifted, refreshing finish. This is an off-dry Pinot Gris with balanced fruit and acid on a brilliant mineral palate. Match with five-spice pork chops and lemongrass fish over the next 4-6 years. "White pepper, green pear, honeysuckle, quince and wet stones mineral complexity. Mirrored on the palate as flavours with medium+ acidity, core of fruit, a fine sandy mineral texture and balanced, dry and even finish. Satin texture, some floral notes then a return to varietal fruit flavours. Balanced and well made - drink upon purchase and through end of summer 2022."

The fruit was 100% hand harvested Pinot Gris from the Waitaki. Harvest took place on April 2 nd 2020. The fruit was whole bunch pressed to a stainless steel tank for cold settling for two days. Then racked to tank inoculated with a selected wine yeast. The cool fermentation in tank was stopped to retain a touch of residual sugar.

Pale lemon with clear hues. Aromatic with rockmelon, pawpaw, nectarine and lemon zest. A mineral off dry entry with tropical fruits, melon, white peach and apricot. A juicy sweet mid
palate balanced with fresh acidity and a long bright and juicy melon finish.

 Alsatian style pinot gris at its finest - rich and delicious.
