Quinta dos Roques pioneered the idea of varietal bottling in Portugal with their 1996 wines. Roques remain a small producer, with many of their bottlings not exceeding 1000 cases.
A dynamic and exciting estate, making a sometimes bewildering array of different wines. With 12 different plots totalling 40 hectares, the Roques vineyards are located at altitudes of 450 to 500m. 

White wines, very aromatic and elegant, present an invigorating freshness.

crushing of the grapes with partial desteming, followed by a soft pressing in automatic press. Fermentation with selected yeasts occurred part (50%) in French oak barrels and the other 50% in stainless steel vats

light straw perfectly clear; with an elegant bouquet of fruits and a slight touch of resin. On the palate the first impression is of freshness but immediately we recognise the great structure and complexity of the wine. The finish is very long and persistent
