Gold Medal & 95 Points – New World Wine Awards 2020
93 Points & 5 Stars Sam Kim, Wine Oribt, Jul 2020
"This is fabulously fruited and inviting on the nose showing honeydew melon, fresh pear and floral characters, leading to a succulent palate that’s silky and flowing. The wine offers terrific fruit purity backed by refreshing acidity, making it delightfully drinkable. At its best: now to 2023" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jul 2020

A elegant, aromatic Pinot Gris with dense fruit aromas, amazing texture and a dry finish. Wine maker Paul Pujol projects his own flair onto traditional production methods. This wine has achieved an avid following and international acclaim, despite its limited production. The vinification is heavily influenced by Paul’s time spent in Alsace where use of wild yeast, multiple small vessels and long ageing are the norm. After long slow ferments the various components are aged on their yeast lees before bottling.

Winery note
"This aromatic Pinot Gris has great freshness and will match well with a range of food. The fruit for this wines comes from selected parcels on our Kopuwai and Rocky Point vineyards. Meticulous viticulture and favourable climates combine to produce grapes with great flavour and concentration."
