93 Points - James Suckling
"A very pleasant Ripasso with super-clean red and black fruit, together with a darker note of charred oak. Medium-to full-bodied with fine tannins and a flavorful finish. A tasty, savory option now, but this is well-structured and ready for further bottle aging"

A classic blend of 55% Corvina Veronese, 25% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella and 5% Croatina grown in vineyards located in the hills of Valpolicella, north of Verona.

Selection in the vineyard of the best grape bunches. The grapes are subsequently pressed gently and this is followed by a skin maceration at low temperature for 8-10 days.

“ripasso” an Italian term for a winemaking term, meaning the wine "passes over" the skins from super premium Amarone wines. This second maceration enhances the favour and tannins, which give this wine its longevity, and of the typical fragrance of Amarone wine. The wine then goes through maturation for between 18-24 month in medium and large size oak casks. Finally the wine is refined for at least 6 months in the bottle prior to release.

Intense, structured and complex mouthfeel.
