"Bright, fresh and varietal with dark red berry fruits and toasty new oak bouquet, dark spies of clove and vanilla then fine red clay scent layering in an earthy complexity. Equally fresh and bright on the palate with layers of spice and red currants, frsh and tart raspberry, some mild pepper moments and toasty barrel with baking spice flavours. Firm tannins and a back bone of acidity form the foundation and textural contrast. Plush, freshy, bright and delicious. A balanced and well made wine with best drinking from 2022 through 2028."

Sileni are moving some stock. On trying this Gorgeous Syrah, we couldnt resist, great buying at this level.

Aromas of rich black plum, spice and violet florals, with flavours of dark berry fruit and all spice, underpinned by silky tannins. Delicious Reserve lable Syrah from a top notch vintage. 

The Peak Syrah is grown in the Bridge Pa Triangle subregion of Hawke’s Bay. Warm temperatures, coupled with free draining red metal gravels, provide the ideal conditions for growing Syrah. Crops are thinned down to one bunch per shoot to provide ripe and concentrated fruit flavours. Fruit for this reserve wine was de-stemmed and partially crushed then fermented in a mixture of open top and closed top tanks. The open fermenters were hand plunged and pumped-over for extraction. Fermentation took on average seven days, with a three week post-maceration period before pressing. The wine was racked to French barriques (225L) and matured for nine months before being blended and bottled. Of which 25% was new oak.
