90 Points & 4.5 Stars - Sam Kim, Wine orbit
"It's savoury and fruity at the same time, showing grapefruit, lemon zest, gun smoke and crunchy apple characters on the nose, followed by a flavoursome palate offering excellent vibrancy and persistency."

Made by Rod Macdonald, Te Awanga Winery in the Hawkes Bay.

The winery writes "Mister is a modern Hawke’s Bay love story. The love of the grape, the land, the adventure and the road that led you there. Slightly left of centre, Mister is as clever as it is curious, as bold as it is beautiful, dapper in dress-sense only and modern to the core. So, banish the kerchief to your back pocket and settle in. Understated, never. Magnificent, always.

After gently pressing, the juice was cool settled and then the clear juice racked to tank for a cool fermentation. Post ferment, the wine was left on yeast lees and stirred periodically for a few weeks to add texture and mouthfeel. It was then blended and prepared for bottling.

This highly enjoyable Sauvignon Blanc is filled with nectarine, grapefruit and rockmelon characters with an elegant lime zest lift (true!). The palate is generous and flavoursome with excellent fruit intensity. Sauv lovers just can’t go wrong!"
