"Talk about a seductively smooth Pinot Noir, proving Nelson's potential for top Pinots from the Moutere area. This wine has huge appeal with its light body and full flavours of cherry and spice." - Joelle Thomson
"The palate is fruity and smooth with nicely balanced acidity and fine tannins. The wine is very easy on the palate with appealing fruit intensity" - Sam Kim
Superb new release Pinot Noir from Five Oaks. The wine is soft and gentle, with lovely cherry and light forest berry characters.

Chris We felt this was an excellent value Pinot, much better than expected. We matched it with roast chicken which was brilliant. In terms of tasting notes, this was different from a lot of the other pinots we've tried in that it was a lot fruiter (personally felt there was a bit of raisin in there along with the cherries). Overall good general purpose wine that could be matched with chicken or red meats. In fairness we're not big Pinot fans, but this one impressed us, so would definitely recommend to others. Permalink

Dominic O'Halloran Had this wine new years eve, a great way to see in the new year. It was light with tasty berries and herbish tones. Permalink

James McAnally (Dunedin) A nice Pinot Noir, maybe a little on the light side - though this is not necessarily a bad thing. I found it easy drinking, yet intriguing. I'll return to this to experience and experiment more. Permalink

Rob McCaw I really liked the 2009 vintage, was very disappointed in the 2010, but decided to take a punt again! While not up to the 2009 it certainly has some depth to it however don't drink it as soon as you open the bottle or you will get a totally different impression. Permalink
Dense and deep ruby, with crimson hues. Aromas with bright red cherry, mingled with dark cherries and plums, savory and forest floor undertones, some floral and rose petal scents.
The palate is silky with fine grained oak tannins, a touch of spice, slowly unwinding and lingering it brings up rich fruit, chocolate notes and elements of whole bunch ferment.
Our latest "Art Series" Pinot Noir. This beautiful Pinot Noir is made by one of the most awarded producers of Pinot Noir in Martinborough - the Prince of Pinot. A nickname he rightly received for consistently making some of the best Pinot Noirs in New Zealand.
A lovely fruit driven Pinot Noir from Martinborough. Nice ripe red cherry aromas followed through on the palate with a juicy flavour of good pinot character and light oak to balance. Soft and moreish.
The painting is from the very talented Belinda Griffiths. Her work has such a natural aura, solitude and intensity - monochrome yet you can feel colour by looking at it. "Breathe" was chosen by as the Winesale.co.nz Art Series winner at the 2011 New Zealand Art Show.

An outstanding example of Nelson Pinot Noir.
Dark, deep, youthful, black hued and ruby-red in colour. The wine has a deep black berry and plum fruited bouquet that is fresh and vibrantly expressed. On the palate, medium-light bodied with 14% alcohol. Very nice vibrant black berry fruit and dark plum flavours. The tannin extraction is moderate and provides a soft, supple and smooth texture allowing immediate enjoyment.
One of our most well supported Pinot Noirs. Unrivaled in New Zealand at this price.
