Belles Lettres (Cotes du Rhone) 2021 Rouge AOP

The southern Rhône has always been a source of inspiration for Boutinot. Belles Lettres is a category of writing in French, originally meaning beautiful or fine writing. Winemaker Eric Monnin likens it to the way he makes his wines; crafting something of pure beauty. A writer of Belles Lettres is a 'belletrist’.

Soft, smooth and appealingly fruity; good Côtes du Rhône should be a crowd-pleaser. This is full-flavoured and rich with a hint of savoury spice on the finish, typical of well-sunned Grenache which dominates the blend.

Really easy drinking, this wine can be enjoyed on its own. It's a great accompaniment to a summer BBQ: sausages, grilled halloumi, and burgers.

Grant Burge (Barossa) 2021 Distinction Holy Trinity GSM

The Holy Trinity is a traditional blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre. The fruit for this wine is Barossa grown, predominantly handpicked from old, dry-grown vines which range from 35 to 90 years old. 

Brilliant and vibrant ruby red colour.

A playful combination of candied apple, raspberry jubes, frangipane and lemon curd. In the background you see notes of cinnamon and clove.

Medium to full bodied, fresh and vibrant with enough tannin to shape the wine. Acidity carries the wine through to a clean, slightly mineral and lengthy finish. Lovely hints of fresh raspberries and cinnamon linger on the palate.

Le Petit Chat Malin (Clever Little Cat) range of wines, awesome value drinking from the south of France.
A super, supple red made from selected parcels of Grenache Noir, Syrah and Carignan. Nose shows dark fruit leads to a juicy yet savoury palate awash with red berries; cherries and strawberries and a touch of dustiness, soft tannins and a subtle twist of spice.

Try with hearty dishes, strong cheese or great on its own. Good golly this is great buying.
