The grapes for this Single Vineyard wine were grown in the coastal Meeanee district of Hawke's Bay, where cooling sea breezes bring out the best in this aromatic variety.

This fragrant, medium-dry Hawke's Bay Riesling exudes attractive lemon/lime and rock melon aromas and flavours, with delicate spring blossom notes. The palate is full bodied, yet smooth and silky with nice length and a clean, crisp finish.

Already delicious, it will soften with age, developing a lovely, perfumed and honeyed marmalade richness.

I was disappointed with this. Found it rather harsh and acidic. However, as we all know, what is good one day can be disappointing another. This relates to many variables that make wine so much fun. So I will try again, and will be prepared to change my review.

It must have been good. I'd been looking forward to this, but by the time I arrived home my husband and the guests had emptied the bottle so I'll take their word for it. A nice Riesling.

The nicest riesling I've had in 2012. Lovely floral aromas are followed by a real citrus and apple zing, almost spritzy. The only reisling I've had that was markedly better in the last 2 years was an expensive Clare Valley effort.

This is a delightful Gewürztraminer with a complex aromas of rose petal, lychee, and spice. It has bright acidity and a dry finish. This wine is a beautiful accompaniment to spicy Asian food. It is hard work to get a top New Zealand Gewürztraminer at this price but once again the Cellar 9 team has delivered the goods - the perfect wine for a night out at the local BYO Asian cafe!
