This is indeed an exquisite wine. It is of an amazingly good quality a world beater. New Zealand can make very good wines, however the bar has been set. If we all could make wines like this, we would be living in heaven.

This wine is deep ruby, almost purple in colour with a layered fragrant nose redolent of ripe plum and cassis with lifted vanilla, cedar and tobacco notes. The palate has a rich velvet texture with excellent structure, ripe black fruits and cassis flavours with a long full finish. Great cellaring wine for up to 10 years.

Q:	This wine has been aged 7 years, and this can be further cellared for 10 years. Is this correct? Just curious, how might this compare to Te Mata Coleraine? Craig Davis (06/10/12)
A:	Correct. Both wines are certainly great. I do believe that the Magpie is the superior wine. It has a greater fullness. The coleraine is really elegant but the magpie has this elegance with a big body. **The team @ Winesale.co.nz *(10/10/12)***

Our latest "Art Series" Pinot Noir. This beautiful Pinot Noir is made by one of the most awarded producers of Pinot Noir in Martinborough - the Prince of Pinot. A nickname he rightly received for consistently making some of the best Pinot Noirs in New Zealand.
A lovely fruit driven Pinot Noir from Martinborough. Nice ripe red cherry aromas followed through on the palate with a juicy flavour of good pinot character and light oak to balance. Soft and moreish.
The painting is from the very talented Belinda Griffiths. Her work has such a natural aura, solitude and intensity - monochrome yet you can feel colour by looking at it. "Breathe" was chosen by as the Winesale.co.nz Art Series winner at the 2011 New Zealand Art Show.
