Long Flat wine has been an Australian classic for more than 40 years.
Brick red in colour, a lovely wine with great depth of flavour. The nose shows fig and florals, red and black liquorice, cocoa and pepper. Savour the spice and plum pudding aromas, the luscious blackberry characters, and spicey oak notes. On the palate, lots of black cherry and chocolate unfold with a nice cedary core from oak ageing. Sophisticated oak characters are just discernable, providing a cedar/ charcoal-carbon backdrop against small-berried fruits. The long finish shows vanilla, blueberry and black pepper amid a minty black cherry profile. A wine with a profile of welcome supple spice, soft oak and perfect acid balance, make a generous, forward drinking and approachable Shiraz. |

A Gimblett Road single vineyard wine, 70% aged in French barriques. Bright, scarlet in colour, this has a full, deep bouquet of minerals, black fruit,red beries, licorice and earthy notes. Dry and full-bodied at 13.5% alc., this has bold, open leathery and cigar like flavours black berry with nutty, and oaky nuances. A fruit expressive wine, this is a solid and robust Merlot that has length of flavour. |

Awaroa Bay (Nelson) 2011 Pinot Noir
An elegant fruit-driven style, deep luscious cherry in colour. The nose shows ripe aromas of red cherry, plum and subtle spice notes.
The palate includes subtle oak and mouth-filling berry flavours with hints of pepper, spice and truffles.
Light and gently flavoured. It's juicy and rounded on the palate with good fruit intensity
and a soft finish.

An outstanding example of Nelson Pinot Noir.
Dark, deep, youthful, black hued and ruby-red in colour. The wine has a deep black berry and plum fruited bouquet that is fresh and vibrantly expressed. On the palate, medium-light bodied with 14% alcohol. Very nice vibrant black berry fruit and dark plum flavours. The tannin extraction is moderate and provides a soft, supple and smooth texture allowing immediate enjoyment.
One of our most well supported Pinot Noirs. Unrivaled in New Zealand at this price.
