Trophy - New Zealand International Wine Show 2008
5 stars - Raymond Chan
Waikato Herald - Yvonne lorkin
"It's no surprise this snazzy sweetie won the dessert wine trophy at the NZ International Wine Show back in 2008 - but wow, four years on, it's tasting absolutely sublime. With exotic aromas of toffee and tangelo and intense, luxurious citrus, honeyed sweetness and clean, refreshing acidity on the finish - it's mind-bending stuff" (Dec 2016)

The Botrytis Selection has only improved 15+ years on. An ever opulent wine shows incredible natural sweetness, integrated with stunning honeyed lime and stone fruit flavours. Made from 100% Muller Thergau.  A whopping 254 grams per litre of residual sugar balanced beautifully.

Apricot, spiced orange, honeysuckle and lime marmalade, mouth-coating texture and bright orange and lime to balance the luscious flavours. It finishes with candied tropical fruits, a hint of toffee and a lingering, apricot-rich honeyed finish.

Lone Goat (Canterbury) 2017 Chardonnay

93 Points - Cameron Douglas MS
"Fruity, floral, mineral and varietal bouquet with aromas of apple blossoms, grapefruit, white peach and a delicate oyster shell mineral scent. There’s oak aromas as well with a light vanilla and lean toasty barrel layer. On the palate - dry with medium++ weight, a satin texture with contrasting acidity and flavours of peaches and chantilly cream, vanilla and baking spices. Balanced and well made, ready to enjoy upon purchase and through 2026."

low-yielding Chardonnay vines are around 25 years of age. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, then prepared with minimal intervention before bottling,

A funky, weighty, waxy and creamy Chardonnay thats really coming into its own. Great value. Aromas of quince, white peach and lemon zest. The broad, creamy palate is overlaid with earthy characters, stone fruits and notes of vanilla. Citrus minerality giving structure and length.
