On the nose fresh elderflower, melon and stonefruit are enhanced by smoky oak and fresh bread aromas. The palate is packed with ripe lemon, nectarine, butter and toast , underpinned with a fine mineral thread. Excellent on its own this wine is versatile with food, fresh flounder and lemongrass , or chicken puff pie being a few favourites.

Fruit for this wine was selected from mature vineyards in the North Island that consistently produce outstanding Pinot Gris grapes. 

This is a wonderfully luscious wine with aromas of pear and spice on the nose and a tropical richness on the palate which is well balanced and off-dry. Enjoy in its youth or cellar for 2-3 years.

The Matahiwi vineyard is situated on an alluvial boulder ridge in the Masterton district of Wairarapa. With warm free draining soils and the cool dry local climate this is an ideal place to grow Pinot noir. This Wairarapa Pinot Noir combines lifted aromas of dark fruit and with a slight hint of earthiness. The palate full of cherry fruit, spice and soft tannins. Enjoy with winter stew or some beautiful Lamb.
