Specially selected from our estate-owned vineyards throughout the Hawke’s Bay region, we combine soft Merlot with robust Cabernet Sauvignon resulting in a full flavoured dry red with easy drinking appeal.

Dark and sweetly fruited with leather, spice and a touch of blackcurrant and mint. Recommended food An ideal partner for an antipasto platter featuring a range of salami and smoked meats, or any meaty casserole, like lamb shanks.

"Specially selected from two estate-owned Hawke's Bay vineyards, By leaving the wine unoaked our winemakers have let the stunning fruit characters to shine, delivering a soft, creamy palate with melon and peach flavours, and a fresh, clean, and dry finish.

Fruit from the Fernhill district and Gimblett Gravels appellation in Hawke’s Bay were pressed into stainless steel tanks and fermented without oak influence. A small percentage of malolactic fermentation was employed to increase the complexity of the wine. The separate parcels were combined and lightly fined prior to bottling.

Food Pairing: A great combination with a variety of foods."

"From our Babich estate-owned vineyards in both the Gimblett Gravels and Bridge Pa Triangle regions, this Hawke’s Bay Syrah offers delicate raspberry and floral flavours in a light, fresh and peppery style.Tasting Note Plum and raspberry with a sweet vanilla note and a touch of dark cedar. Dried herbs. Fine tannings create a creamy texture to s palate loaded with dark fruits and sweet spice. Black pepper, redcurrant and dried goji berry. Balance and lively."

Babich are one of the longest running producers of Pinot Gris in New Zealand. The wine is Alsace in style, partly barrel-fermented, with mouthfilling body and strong stone-fruit, pear and spice flavours. It is made medium-dry, and is deliciously harmonious, with a rich, well-rounded finish.
