The fruit for this 2018 wine was sourced from premium Victorian vineyards, to bring together a complex and well balanced expression of Cabernet Sauvignon.Individual parcels were matured in new and aged French oak barriques for 18 months before being blended to achieve concentrated fruit character and subtle tannins giving this wine sensational length and cellaring potential.

"Noble Rot” has been a long tradition at Brown Brothers. John C. Brown was the first Australian winemaker to recognise botrytis mould in 1934. The grapes for the 2019 vintage were handpicked from the Milawa Vineyard that has been producing botrytis since the early 1960s.

The nose has fresh lifted aromatics and classic botrytis characters like orange marmalade, citrus and honey.
All these aromas follow through to the palate which is concentrated and complex with a silky mouth feel. The high natural acidity balances the residual sweetness to provide a refreshingly clean finish."
