The Futures wines are a tribute to our past and a celebration of our future. Recalling our Barossa story, ‘Futures’ was the wine that secured the livelihoods of the growers who were integral to establishing the Barossa region. Today these wines are made in recognition of the long-standing friendships and partnerships that will continue to prosper long into the future.
Futures wines are testament to generations of PLW winemakers working alongside renowned Barossa grape-growers, allowing us to source exceptional parcels of fruit from select low-yielding vineyards across the region.

"This Shiraz is a deep red colour displaying a bright edge, with notes of dark fruits, chocolate and liquorice combined with a charry oak undertone and long, firm finish. The intense muscular fruit flavours are integrated perfectly, creating an approachable and supple wine that will benefit from cellaring if desired."

Hilll & Valley wines showcase the great diversity of the Barossa region. From the cooler Adelaide Hills to the elevated Eden Valley vineyards to those situated on the Barossa Valley floor, these ancient soils provide the base for great wines that speak of their origins.

"Dense with a bright red edge, there are dark brooding fruit aromas with hints of blueberry and choc-mint. The palate is medium-bodied with blue fruit and fine grained tannins for a very soft finish."

The colour is deep with purple hues, and shows aromas of charred spice and plum. The palate is soft and abundant with fruits and fine tannins. Enjoy this Barrosa Valley Shiraz while fresh, or cellar for up to 10 years."

Peter Lehmann was a member of the Order of Australia, a founding member of the Barons of the Barossa and a legend of Australian wine. His contribution to the industry as a whole was acknowledged in 2009 with an International Wine Challenge Lifetime Achievement Award. Crafted by the next generation of Peter Lehmann winemakers, The Barossan showcases the superb fruit sourced from the many fabled sub-regions across the Barossa Valley. Lifted cherry and brooding dark fruit aromas combine seamlessly with sweet chocolate and mocha undertones to deliver an intense, generous and full bodied wine. Fine tannins and soft supple finish.

True to what the region has come to be known for ‘The Barossan’ is a quintessential expression of Barossa Shiraz. Drinking beautifully now with further cellaring potential.
