Aberlour a'bunadh is a natural single cask strength malt whisky. Taken directly from specially selected sherry casks it is bottled without the use of modern filtering methods or the addition of water. This is a dark, heavily-sherried Aberlour a'bunadh, matured exclusively in Spanish casks that formerly were home to Oloroso sherry. This is probably one of the best-value cask strength whiskies available.

Ardbeg (Scotland) 10Yr Islay Single Malt 46% 700ml

The Ardbeg 10 is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex single malt of them all. Yet it does not flaunt the peat; rather it gives way to the natural sweetness of the malt to produce a whisky of perfect balance. Typically most whiskies are chill-filtered and reduced to a strength of 40% ABV. Ardbeg ten year old, however, is non chill-filtered and has a strength of 46% ABV, thus retaining maximum flavour, at the same time giving more body and added depth.

Arette (Mexico) Blanco Tequila 700ml

El Llano distillery, which has been owned by the Orendain family since the early 20th century.  is one of the oldest running tequila stills in Mexico.

Arette Tequila was named after a famous Mexican double-gold medal winning horse.

Arette Blanco is made from 100% Blue Agave.

Nose: Creamy aromas. Hints of lemongrass, fresh herbs, baked agave notes.

Palate; Roasted, slightly vegetal palate. Lemon and lime, hints of blossom and vanilla.

Arran Sherry Cask (Scotland) 55.8% 700ml

Matured in some of the finest Sherry casks available to the whisky industry and is a return to the style of some of the earliest Arran Single Malt, which was mostly matured in Sherry casks. Matured for 7 years in first-fill Sherry hogsheads. Distilled and matured at Lochranza. Non-chill filtered Natural colour, bottled at cask strength, ABV: 55.8%

Bayou Reserve Rum is distilled from locally grown sugarcane in southern Louisiana, USA. Top notch Reserve rum and not super pricey!
The molasses comes from the oldest family-owned and operated sugar mill in the United States. Every batch of Bayou Rum is distilled in copper pot stills, and this reserve has been matured in bourbon barrels for up to three years using the Solera aging method. Nose creamy vanilla with hints of apple and cinnamon. Palate opens with a dry oak-like character reminiscent of an aged bourbon, followed by pronounced cinnamon and maple. Dry with long-lasting notes of dark fruit and wood.

Benromach's 10 year old is matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon (80%) and Sherry casks (20%) before a finishing period of 1 year in fresh, 1st fill Oloroso Sherry casks, making for a lusciously rich, smooth, well-rounded and complex dram.

Offering the traditional, soft Speyside character with a touch of delicate, heathery peat smoke, this is familiar Speyside flavours with a twist. Benromach offer a diverse range of expressions including organic, heavily peated and wine-cask finished whiskies and it has a long fascinating history.  Having closed in 1983, the distillery was revived in the mid 1990s by renowned independent bottlers 'Gordon & MacPhail' with the aim of producing a classic, old fashioned style of Speyside Single Malt.

Buffalo Trace (USA) Kentucky Straight 40% 700ml

Ancient buffalo carved paths through the wilderness that led American pioneers and explorers to new frontiers. One such trail led to the banks of the Kentucky River where Buffalo Trace Distillery has been making bourbon whiskey the same way for more than 200 years. 

Brown sugar, toffee apple, sweet oak, custard, oily espresso beans, a touch of chocolate-covered raisins and toasty wood. Good length with sweet spices, cinnamon gum and toffee.
