Marlborough Pinot Gris has grown strongly in popularity over the last few years and has quickly become a staple in the Allan Scott Family Winemakers range.

Winemakers let Pinot Gris have a short spell of skin contact to enhance its colour and flavour. The result is a delicately luscious wine that exhibits pear, apple, and subtle floral and honeysuckle flavours. With a smooth texture, this wine is flawlessly delicious when enjoyed on its own.

Allan Scott (Marlborough) 2025 Sauvignon Blanc

Babich (Marlborough) 2025 Pinot Gris

Babich are one of the longest running producers of Pinot Gris in New Zealand. The wine is Alsace in style, partly barrel-fermented, with mouthfilling body and strong stone-fruit, pear and spice flavours. It is made medium-dry, and is deliciously harmonious, with a rich, well-rounded finish.

Clearview (Hawkes Bay) 2023 Coastal Pinot Gris

New vintage release
The Coastal Pinot Gris by Clearview Estate is made in an opulent fruit forward, off-dry style with fruit from the Te Awanga Vineyard.

The winery writes: “Generous aromas of ripe pear & white flowers are followed with a palate boasting fruit sweetness & moreish fresh acidity.”

Cloudy Bay (Marlborough) 2023 Chardonnay

Winery description

"Our Chardonnay comes from a combination of vineyards across the Omaka, Brancott, Rapaura and Renwick sub-regions. Their complementary soil types - the gravelly soils of the Wairau Valley and the cooler clay soils of the Southern Valleys - provide a great balance of ripeness and elegance.

After gentle pressing, the juice was settled and racked before being transferred to French oak barriques, of which 20% were new. Half of the batches were put to barrel with full solids (without racking). Following fermentation, the wine rested in barrel for 11 months before blending. 21% of the wine went through malolactic fermentation.

2019 Chardonnay is fresh, fragrant and mouth-watering. The nose is redolent of orchard fruit, white peach, apricot, blossom and warm hay. Palate The palate is
concentrated, with notes of apple and pear balanced by gentle vanilla spice, hazelnut and a subtle saline note. A dart of citrus acidity delivers freshness and leads to a long and appealing finish."

The iconic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is brimming with ripe citrus and stone fruit flavours. Vineyards planted on the Wairau Valley floor, where the climate and free-draining gravelly soils are perfect for Sauvignon Blanc. This includes the Estate, Motukawa, Widows, Red Shed, and Mustang vineyards

Fruit from each vineyard ferments separately before blending, a critical step in maintaining Cloudy Bay’s famous consistency. Rather than blending to make more wine, the winemakers carefully select the right grapes (from over 90 batches) for each year’s wine. This means the quantity may change, but never the quality.

Duck Point (East Coast) 2024 NZ Pinot Gris

Medium dry style of Pinot Gris has a delicate balance of stone fruit and ripe pear flavours. The ripe pear and candied fruit aromas jump out of the glass and leaves your senses with a exotic scented freshness. "Light green hue. Aromas of lemon sherbet, delicate floral with honeyed spice notes. The palate shows bright fruit notes of citrus and floral which combine with the lively acidity and soft sweetness."

Falconhead (Hawkes Bay) 2022 Gewurztraminer

The Falconhead wines offer incredible value drinking. Brought to you from the team behing Leveret wines. Classic aromas of rosewater and lychees with a stewed pear and cinnamon spice bouquet. The palate is delightfully balanced, with sweet flavours of Turkish delight, cinnamon and lychee.

The grapes were machine harvested and transported to our Riverview winery where they were pressed to stainless steel for fermentation.  An off dry style was achieved by stopping the fermentation with a little sugar remaining. No oak aging or malolactic fermentation was employed for this wine. The wine was tankered to our Katikati winery where finishing was carried out. This wine is drinking well now but can be cellared. Enjoy with Asian inspired meals.

This is an amazingly good buy. Viognier (Vee-on-yay) is a notoriusly difficult grape to grow so very rarely do we see such a bargain buy from this delightfully oppulent grape!

Perfumed aromas of white peach and subtle turkish delight. The palate displays delicious pear and tangerine flavours supported by deft lychee and spice complimented with a gentle sweetness.

This wine is drinking well now but can be cellared for up to 5 years.

Winery: The fruit for this wine was sourced from three of our Hawke’s Bay vineyards - Colefield, Riverview and Tantallon. Aromas of white fruits, apples and pears, with wild flowers and a generous hint of spice. The palate is fresh and textured with a gentle sweetness, soft acidity and clean pear flavours.

The grapes for this wine were harvested in our Marlborough vineyard and transported to a contract facility for dejuicing and settling. The clear juice was transported by road tanker to our Katikati winery where it was fermented in stainless steel tanks.

"This is a single vineyard wine made with fruit from our Rapaura Road vineyard, next to the winery. The vines were planted in 1995 and while the planting plan is long since lost, we believe there are up to seven different clones and rootstock combinations in the vineyard. The fruit was machine harvested in two passes. The picks were fermented separately and then blended back together. The early pick lends acidity to the wine and a strong ginger flavour. The later pick has more classic Gewurztraminer characters – lychee and lemongrass."

Fruit for this wine was sourced from the Rapaura sub-region of Marlborough. The grapes were harvested at different maturity levels to add complexity of the finished wine.

2022 Pinot Gris shows pear and tropical fruit characters on the nose. The elegant palate has floral undertones with sweet nectarine fruit enhanced by some citrus undertones. The wine has wonderful depth and complexity along with an off dry finish. This is a fragrant Pinot Gris that will age well over the next 5 years

This style is perfect as an aperitif or to complement your favourite white meat, seafood and pasta dishes.
