Fragrant notes of elderflower, guava and mint jump out of the glass, followed by hints of oregano and thyme layered with passionfruit and citrus. This in-your-face drop captures the essence of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Concentrated citrusy notes of lime zest and tropical guava combine with a lick of wet stones. This wine explodes on the nose with a fruit salad of peach, nectarine, melon and mandarin combining with honey, nougat and floral notes for an intense and inviting array of aromas. The palate is elegant, dry and concentrated with ripe, tropical, citrus and stone fruit flavours and delicious textural creaminess from the wild fermentation. It is a charming mouthful, concluding in a long, smooth finish.

Vineyards and viticulture This wine was made from two blocks in our Southern Valleys vineyards and a third block on the edge of Blenheim township. To have great flavour in our Pinot Gris, we undertake intensive management in the vineyards, including bunch thinning, leaf plucking and colour thinning. "Upon release its colour is pale gold. Floral and spiced pear aromas tease the nose, followed by nuances of juicy ripe nectarine, red apple, rock melon, and a hint of perfume. The palate is layered and rich, integrated with bright acidity and fine phenolics. A crisp and zippy mouthfeel is complimented by subtle sweetness, giving balance, and setting the platform for a long, textured finish"

Main Divide (Waipara) 2024 Sauvignon Blanc

"Grapes were sourced from our own Te Hau vineyard on Georges Road. They were left to hang until a brix level of approximately 23 brix was reached, the aim being to add some additional richness in the wine. After gentle pressing of the berries, the free run juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures and bottled shortly after, to retain its zesty aromas and vibrant fruit character. Winemaking intervention was intentionally kept to a minimum to allow the vintage, variety, and vineyard to express itself harmoniously. On release the wine is pale lemon in colour. Rising to greet the nose is a feisty melange of citrus, floral and herbaceous fragrances. Grapefruit, lime, and a touch of passionfruit are interlaced with elderflower, fresh-cut grass, jalapeno, and whisp of lemongrass. The palate is well weighted, complemented with racy acidity and a zesty mouthfeel. Juicy and refreshing, the performance closes with a lengthy, crisp finish, demanding an immediate encore."

A bright, clean, straw-yellow colour. Very aromatic in the nose, fresh and with notes of white flowers, citrus and apricot. In the mouth it is pleasant, with good acidity, complex and with a creamy touch. It is rich and with a long afertaste.

Perfect with appetisers, white fish, seafood, fresh cheeses and salads. Best served at a temperature of 8-10ºC. Organic and Vegan friendly.

Grapes for this wine were sourced from the Tietjens vineyard in the Hexton Hills or Golden Slope region in Gisborne. This vineyard was selected for a rich history in producing premium Chardonnay.

Aromas of ripe melon and peach abound with butterscotch and fig notes. The palate is rich, with ripe fruits, showcasing peach flavours and an inherent creaminess, and a lingering bright finish. A Gisborne favourite!
