Roaring Meg Pinot Gris is the secondary label of Central Otago’s Mt.Difficulty and named after a local stream.

“Ripe stone fruit and citrus blossom on the nose with hints of spice, pear and iced peach tea. The palate echoes the nose with orange and tangerine citrus, yellow peach and ginger. A succulent mid palate flows through to soft acidity, plenty of bright fruit sweetness and a faint textural finish.”

This Pinot Noir Rosé exhibits a gorgeous watermelon complexion. Savoury raspberry competes with rhubarb compote and hints of rose petal. Bright raspberry notes introduce the wine, these then flow into a linear mid palate and a clean mineral finish.

Mud House (Marlborough) 2024 Sauvignon Blanc

This gorgeous example of Marlborough ‘Savvy’ has it all – snowpea, nettles and guava on the nose, complemented by citrus and melon on the palate. The front palate is peppered with notes of melon and citrus, while the crisp grapefruit-like acidity lingers and adds texture. We keep every vineyard batch separate throughout the winemaking process until blending. The final process is fining and filtering, before the wine is then bottled.

A juicy and lively Pinot Gris, with hints of red apple, pear and ginger spice. Pale straw  with aromas of spicy red apple, ripe pear and a hint of ginger. A lively palate with juicy fruit flavours, and warming ginger spice. The vibrant acidity lingers, drawing out to a refreshing finish.

This wine has been made utilising the traditional techniques which have made the Chardonnay of the Burgundy region in France so famous. Pegasus Bay thus adopt a hands-off approach so that until the last, or blending, stage, the wine has largely made itself.

Upon release the colour is bright lemon. The bouquet is a tantalising patchwork of apricot, marmalade, honey and orange zest, interwoven with fl oral notes and a lick of ginger. The botrytis has added concentration and richness, yet there is a refreshing zestiness backed with bright acidity that teases the palate, ensuring the wine remains lively and well balanced, with a prolonged finish.

Created in the 1990’s as part of the evolving Penfolds white wine development program, Bin 51 captures many attributes of the Eden Valley locale. The region’s high altitude and cool-climate induces riesling with great finesse and elegance with a capacity for long-term cellaring. South Australia has gained worldwide recognition for producing definitive world-class riesling and Eden Valley always features. In their youth, the wines possess scented floral and citrus aromas, with a mineral edge and marked natural acidity, contributing significantly to the palate texture and flavour.

Rockburn Chardonnay leans towards the crisper and lighter end of the spectrum, demanding minimal use of oak.The nose is pure and subtle with elements of wet stone, lemon zest and ripe peach.  The palate is full, textural with fine tension, showing lemon meringue, butterscotch and delicate minerality and a zesty finish.

Concentrated, textural sauvignon blanc with guava, citrus, grapefruit, green capsicum, tomato leaf and a suggestion of struck flint flavour. A complex, satisfying wine that deserves its flagship status. 

Classic gooseberry, currant and grapefruit, with complexing wet rock and nettle notes, typical of the Awatere Valley sub-region.

This is a medium-bodied wine with bright, fresh acidity balancing the vibrant gooseberry and pure mineral flavours.  These persist on the lengthy, crisp finish.
