Some lightly chalky, stony aromas with sliced green pear, leading to a palate that has a smooth-honed and gently creamy texture with bright pear and pastry flavors. Drink now. Screw cap

92 Points - Cameron Douglas MS The Shout NZ
Aromas of sweet brown pear and yellow apple, preserved lemon and a whisper of dried spice. White flowers, a whisper of lager beer lees autolysis and a wet stone mineral note add complexitiy. Crisp, fruity, varietal, refreshing and dry on the palate. Flavours of tree fruits and citrus, mirror the nose. A coarse satin texture, nice weight and core of fruit finish the wine with aplomb. Best drinking upon purchase and through 2023.

Babich are one of the longest running producers of Pinot Gris in New Zealand. The wine is Alsace in style, partly barrel-fermented, with mouthfilling body and strong stone-fruit, pear and spice flavours. It is made medium-dry, and is deliciously harmonious, with a rich, well-rounded finish.
