17.5 pts - Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews (2020 vintage)
"Bright, pale yellow with a green hue, even colour throughout. The nose is gently full, with richness, aromas of citrus, pineapple and melon entwined with spice and nutty oak elements. Full-bodied, aromas of melon, ripe citrus enriched by spice, subtle cashew and creamy details. The mouthfeel shows weight and power; underlined acidity carries spice and fine-textured phenolics to a warm, spiced finish. This is a powerful Chardonnay with tropical fruit, spice and a balanced palate. Match with roasted chicken and pork over the next 3-4 years. 14% alc."

New vintage of this popular Cali Chardonnay.

From vineyards in California’s Central Coast region. The Chardonnay vineyard has its own AVA, San Bernabe and sits next to a chain of hills which separate the vineyards from the Pacific coast. A modern styled CA Chardonnay, on the nose there is an appealing salinity over toasted hazelnut aromas. The palate has a stone fruit and struck match structure to it that gives it a gentle minerality. This wine wants buttery chicken, pork tenderlion or creamy pasta dishes.

Balanced and delicious.
