4 Stars - Michael Cooper michaelcooper.co.nz
"Enjoyable now, the 2016 vintage of this good-value Waipara wine is a distinctly medium style. Bright, light yellow/green, it has generous, citrusy, slightly spicy flavours, a hint of honey, fresh acidity, and excellent immediacy and harmony."

"Fabulously fruited and gorgeously fragrant, the wine shows golden peach, candied apple, honey, orange peel and subtle spice notes on the nose, leading to a succulent palate that's richly textured and persistent. It's opulent and flavoursome with loads of tasty flavours. Style: Medium. At its best: now to 2023."

On release it is pale gold, with an enticing bouquet of stone fruit, green apple, blossom and potpourri. In the mouth there is satisfying weight and concentration, balanced with refreshing acidity and minerality that creates a lively tension to complement the wine’s off dry finish.
