5 Stars - Sam Kim Wine Orbit
"Wonderfully complex and engaging, this beautifully maturing pinot shows dark berry richness on the nose together with seductive notes of smoked wood, warm spice, thyme and dark mushroom. It’s concentrated and sophisticated on the palate with excellent depth and generosity, leading to a gracefully long silky finish" Sam Kim Wine Orbit, Nov 2019

"This wine has Pinot Noir at the core of the bouquet and palate, the majority of the fruit aromas and flavours remain primary with some secondary development flavours and textures starting to show. Dark cherry and baked raspberry with a finer savoury core, oak and acidity offer good structure and foundation for the fruit. Firmish tannins, balanced and well made."

"Moderate, ruby-red with some depth and a slight tinge of garnet. The nose is gently full with vibrant fruit of red cherries, plums, rhubarb preserves, dried and fresh herbs entwined with developed gamey notes, fragrant dried floral, earth and spice. Medium-bodied, aromas of red cherries, plums, rhubarb preserves unveiling dried herbs, dried floral, lingers with gamey and earthy notes, to a black pepper finish. The tannin is fine with a good grip, provides structure. Fruit development of plums and rhubarb preserves along with primary red cherries have good intensity, shows vitality, complimenting dried florals and herbs notes. Acidity is lively, carries flavours throughout the palate to a peppery finish. This is a developed Pinot Noir with flavours of cherries and fruit preserves, dried florals and herbs on a fine tannin structure with a good grip."

5 Stars - Michael Cooper
"I tasted the 2016 and 2015 vintages in 2020. Grown in the Cromwell Basin and French oak-aged for 18 months, the powerful 2016 vintage (4.5*) is full-coloured, ripely scented and sweet-fruited, with generous flavours, a hint of liquorice, fresh acidity, and good complexity. Best drinking 2022+. The 2015 vintage (5*) was French oak-matured for a year. It has a full, bright, moderately youthful colour, and a fragrant, spicy, slightly nutty bouquet. Mouthfilling and generous, it is a powerful red, with fresh, ripe plum and spice flavours, vigorous, savoury and structured. Best drinking 2022+."
