16.5/20 Points- Raymond Chan
Fruit sourced from a single site in the Upper Moutere, made by Neil Todd, winemaker at Kahurangi. Bright straw-yellow colour with a pale green-golden hue, this has a soft and finely expressed bouquet, quite delicate and ethereal, showing exotic floral notes of rose petals, spices and ginger. Medium dry to taste and showing good weight and vinous presence with 13.5% alc., the palate has a delicacy of style and expression, the fruit beautiful, but shy. The textures are soft and there is a gentle opulence and oiliness on the finish. Serve with spicy Asian cuisine over the next 2-4 years. 16.5/20 Apr 2011 RRP $23.99
